Citroen RKE Programming Procedure
A smart entry system is an electronic lock that regulates access to a building or vehicle without the use of a mechanical key. The term “keyless entry system” initially referred to a lock that required entering a predetermined (or self-programmed) numeric code using a keypad positioned at or near the driver’s door. Some Ford and Lincoln cars still retain these systems, which now include a hidden touch-activated keypad.
The phrase remote keyless system (RKS), often known as keyless entry or remote central locking, refers to a lock that uses an electronic remote control as a key that can be actuated manually or automatically by proximity.
An RKS, which is widely used in automobiles, accomplishes the tasks of a traditional car key without requiring physical touch. Pressing a button on the remote while within a few yards of the automobile can lock or unlock the doors, as well as conduct other operations. A remote keyless entry system (RKE) that unlocks the doors and a remote keyless ignition system (RKI) that starts the engine are both part of a remote keyless system.
A straightforward process for programming the KeyFob RKE is included with every Citroen vehicle. The Citroen vehicle models are listed below:

About Citroen
Citroen produced the C3 Pluriel from 2003 to 2010, an odd convertible with references to the 1948–1990 2CV model, both in body form (such as the hood) and overall usefulness. It opened the Conservatoire, a museum of its many key vehicles, in 2001 to commemorate its heritage of innovation. Following the sharp drop in European car sales following 2009, global vehicle sales fell from 1,460,373 in 2010 to 1,435,688 in 2011, with 961,156 sold in Europe.
The PSA Group was close to creating a cooperation with BMW in 2011 to develop electric and hybrid vehicles, but the talks fell through immediately after Groupe PSA, Citroen’s parent company, announced a relationship with GM, which also failed. Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroen continues to expand, with eight new automobile concepts designed specifically for the Chinese market. Citroen (and Peugeot) are currently facing the same problem as Volkswagen in China: there are too many sedans and hatchbacks, but not enough models in the popular SUV and minivan/MPV segments.
In a 2014 customer satisfaction study conducted by JD Power in China, the brand came out on top, surpassing premium competitors such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW, as well as mass market brands such as Volkswagen, which were placed thirteenth and seventeenth, respectively.
In China, Donfeng Citroen car sales climbed by 30% in the first ten months of 2014, despite an overall market rise of 11%. Despite PSA Peugeot Citroen’s near-death financial experience in 2014 and financial rescue by Dongfeng Motors, the Citroen and DS brands are researching new technologies and, according to Citroen CEO Linda Jackson and DS CEO Yves Bonnefont, both hope to increase 15% by 2020.
Linda Jackson was replaced as CEO of Citroen in January 2020 by deputy CEO Vincent Cobée, who stated that she would “conduct a research to clarify and strengthen brand uniqueness within a brand portfolio.”
With the debut of the C5 Aircross SUV in early 2021, Citroen will enter the Indian market. Citroen automobiles will be produced in Tamil Nadu, India, at Citroen’s Thiruvallur plant.
