Simple to follow oil reset procedure for Lincoln MKT for the year 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Oil Reset Procedure for Lincoln MKT for the year 2009 through 2012
1. Turn the ignition to run, one position before starting engine.
2. Press and release SETUP to display “OIL LIFE XXX% HOLD RESET = NEW”.
3. Press and hold RESET for two seconds and release to reset the oil life to 100%.
4. To change oil life 100% miles value from 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or 12 months to another value, proceed to Step 5
5. Once “OIL LIFE SET TO XXX%” is displayed, release and press RESET to change the Oil Life Start Value. Each release and press will reduce the value by 10%.
Note: Oil life start value of 100% equals 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or 12 months. For example, setting oil life start value to 60% sets the oil life start value to 4,500 miles (7,200 km) and 219 days.
Oil Reset Procedure for Lincoln MKT for the year 2010 through 2012
1. Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
Make sure the vehicle completely stops
2. Press the SETUP button briefly until “OIL LIFE =% HOLD RESET = NEW” appears on the screen
The button is located on the instrument panel
3. Press the RESET button for 2 seconds and release to reset the oil life to 100%.
Done.

1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press “SETUP” to display “OIL LIFE RESET = % HOLD RESET = NEW”.
3. Press and hold “RESET” for 2 seconds and release to reset to 100%.
4. Turn ignition off.

1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position (press the “START/STOP” button once).
2. Use the arrow keys to select “SETTINGS”.
3. Select “VEHICLE”.
4. Select “OIL LIFE RESET”, and then “OK”.
5. Turn ignition off.

2. Select VEHICLE
3. Select OIL LIFE RESET

About Lincoln MKT
The Lincoln MKT is a full-size, three-row luxury crossover SUV that was marketed by the Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company. The Lincoln MKT was only produced in a single generation, which lasted from the model years 2010 to 2019. The Lincoln MKT was positioned between the Lincoln MKX (later renamed the Lincoln Nautilus) and the Lincoln Navigator[6, and it shared its Ford D4 chassis not only with the Ford Flex CUV but also with the 2011-2019 Ford Explorer.
Although the MKT did not have a direct Lincoln predecessor, its release coincided with the end of production for the Mercury Mountaineer, which was derived from the Ford Explorer. A livery variant of the MKT continued to use the Lincoln Town Car name.
Ford decided to stop using its D3/D4 chassis after the 2019 model year, which resulted in the cancellation of the MKT and its counterparts. The MKT was not directly replaced by another model within the Lincoln lineup; however, the second-generation Lincoln Aviator is a three-row Lincoln crossover utility vehicle (CUV). It is a little smaller than the Nautilus but a little bigger than the Navigator.
The MKT was assembled by Ford of Canada at its Oakville Assembly facility in Oakville, which is located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, throughout its entire production run.
