About Lincoln MKX
The Lincoln brand of Ford Motor Company is responsible for the marketing and sales of the mid-size luxury crossover SUV known as the Lincoln MKX. As part of a mid-cycle refresh for the 2019 model year, the Lincoln MKX became known as the Lincoln Nautilus. This change came about because Lincoln is transitioning away from using “MK” model names. [4] The MKX is the first crossover SUV produced by the Lincoln brand; it has been in production since 2007, and it is currently in its second generation. The “X” in the model name stands for the word “crossover.” It was initially the Lincoln SUV that was the least spacious, but now it occupies the space between the Lincoln Corsair and the Lincoln Aviator.
The CD3 served as the foundation for the first generation of the MKX, which was manufactured from 2007 until 2015. The CD4 platform is being utilized in the making of the second generation, which is currently in production. Oakville Assembly in Oakville, Ontario, Canada was responsible for the production of both generations of the Lincoln MKX, as well as the Nautilus, along with the Ford Edge, Ford Flex, and Lincoln MKT.
At the 2014 Beijing Auto Show, a concept version of the next generation of the Lincoln MKX was presented to the public for the first time. The production model was shown for the first time at the North American International Auto Show in 2015, and it was released to the public as a 2016 model in the fall of the same year. The starting price, which is just over $38,000, is the same as it was for the 2015 MKX.
The Lincoln MKX comes standard with Bi-Xenon HID Projector Headlights, LED Daytime Running Lights, LED Fog Lights, and LED Taillights. The Luxury Package of the Lincoln MKX adds Full Adaptive LED Headlights with LED Amber Turn Signals, LED Daytime Running lights, LED Taillights, and LED Fog Lights, which replace the standard Bi-Xenon Headlights.
