GMC Sierra 3500 oil reset procedure for the year 2001 through 2007
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position
2. Immediately press and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
3. If the light flashes the system is reset.
4. Turn ignition off.
GMC Sierra 3500 Classic oil reset procedure for the year 2007
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position
2. Immediately press and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
3. If the light flashes the system is reset.
4. Turn ignition off.
GMC Sierra 3500 oil reset procedure for the year 2008 through 2015
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Display “OIL LIFE REMAINING” on the DIC.
3. Press and hold the “SET/RESET” button for more than 5 seconds. Oil life will reset to 100%.
4. Turn ignition off.
5. If vehicle does not have DIC, vehicle must be in park to access the display by pressing the trip odometer reset stem.
6. Press and hold for more than 5 seconds and oil life will reset to 100%.
7. Turn ignition off.
8. Alternative method is to turn ignition to “RUN” position and press and release accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
9. Turn ignition off.
About GMC Sierra 3500
A heavy-duty truck is represented by the HD model. They were an upgraded version of the Silverado and Sierra light-duty models that came standard on Crew Cabs and were offered in the 1500HD, 2500HD, and 3500HD models respectively. A brand new limited edition of the GMC Sierra Professional was released in the year 2002. The Professional was the pinnacle of work vehicles for contractors because it could be purchased as either a 1500 or 2500HD Extended Cab Standard Box model with either two or four-wheel drive. A space for hanging file folders and providing additional charging ports for mobile devices such as cell phones, PDAs, and laptops was included in the center console area. This area also featured storage space for these devices.
