Easy to follow oil reset procedure for Lincoln Aviator for the year 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022
Oil Reset Procedure for Lincoln Aviator for the year 2002 thorugh 2005
1. Turn the ignition to run, one position before starting engine.
2. Press and release the SETUP control to display “PRESS RESET AT OIL CHANGE”.
3. Press and release the RESET control to display “HOLD RESET TO CONFIRM”.
4. Press and hold the RESET control for 2 seconds and release. Oil life is set to 100% and “OIL LIFE SET TO 100%” is displayed.
After you have done steps 1 through 3, you can reset the oil monitoring system to your personalized oil life %:
1. Press RESET and SETUP controls at the same time for 2 seconds, to activate a service mode which will display “OIL LIFE XX% RESET TO ALTER”.
2. Press RESET to decrement oil life by 10% down to 30% and back to100%.
3. With your personalized OIL LIFE XX% displayed, press SETUP to continue the system check.
Oil Reset Procedure for Lincoln Aviator for the year 2003 thorugh 2006
1. Close all doors.
2. Turn the ignition to ACC mode, Don’t start the engine.
3. Continue press the SETUP button to display the OIL CHANGE message.
4. While OIL CHANGE is displayed, press the RESET button until it displays HOLD RESET TO CONFIRM.
6. Press and hold the RESET button until the OIL LIFE is reset to 100%.
7. Turn ignition off. Oil Reset is complete.
Oil Reset Procedure for Lincoln Aviator for the year 2019 thorugh 2020
1. Close all doors, then turn the IGNITION to On position, don’t start the engine.
2. Press down the TOGGLE button to display SETTINGS then display the OIL LIFE.
3. Then push the TOGGLE to the right (OK), to open the OIL LIFE.
4. Then press and hold the OK button (toggle button) to reset the OIL LIFE to 100%.
5. Turn the ignition OFF. The oil reset is complete.

1.Turn ignition ON.Ignition On engine OFF.
2.Use information display button on steering wheel and go to MAIN MENU.
3.From MAIN MENU scroll to SETTINGS and press right arrow button and scroll to VEHICLE.
4.Press right arrow buuton and scroll to OIL LIFE.
5.Press right arrow button and scroll to HOLD OK TO RESET.
6.Now PRESS and HOLD OK until RESET SUCCESSFUL display in instrument cluster.
7.Once oil change indicator reset instrument cluster display 100% and remaining oil life 00%.
About Lincoln Aviator
The Lincoln brand of Ford Motor Company is responsible for the marketing and sales of the Lincoln Aviator, which is a luxury mid-size SUV. The Lincoln Aviator is currently in its second generation and is positioned between the Lincoln Nautilus and the Lincoln Navigator in terms of size. It is one of the four SUVs that Lincoln offers.
Following in the footsteps of the Lincoln Versailles and the Lincoln Blackwood pickup truck, the Aviator was one of the shortest-produced vehicles that Lincoln has ever offered for sale. The first generation of the Aviator was produced from the model years 2003 through 2005 as a rebadged version of the Mercury Mountaineer (which was itself based on the Ford Explorer). For the 2007 model year, Lincoln expanded its use of crossover SUVs; the five-passenger MKX offered a similar exterior footprint while the MKT (introduced in 2009) offered the three-row seating of the Aviator. Both vehicles offered similar interior dimensions.
