About Lexus GS 460
The GS 460 (URS191) was introduced in 2007 as a replacement for the GS 430 for the 2008 model year. It came standard with either a new 4.6-liter 1UR-FE (Middle East) or a 1UR-FSE V8 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, capable of producing 255 kW (342 hp) and 460 Nm (339 ftlb) of torque. According to Lexus, the sprint from 0 to 60 mph (or 0 to 97 km/h) takes 5.4 seconds. The hybrid GS 450h and the models that came before it, the GS 430, both offered the Active Stabilizer Suspension System for improved handling. The V8-powered GS 460 also offered this system.
In conjunction with the launch of the GS 460, the entire GS lineup received a mid-cycle styling refresh, which included updates to the front bumper, headlights, and grille. Additionally, turn signals were added to the side mirrors, and new wheel options and exterior colors were made available. The interior was updated with new trim pieces, a redesigned steering wheel, and revised instrument cluster gauges.
The GS, on the other hand, has undergone significant development over the course of its existence, and it is now an excellent option for a luxury sport sedan. The Lexus GS 460 from 2009 is equipped with a powerful 4.6-liter V8 engine that is capable of producing 342 horsepower, in addition to an efficient eight-speed automatic transmission. Although the 460 doesn’t have the all-wheel-drive option that’s available on the V6-powered GS 350, this more powerful sedan does get a few exclusive features, such as an adaptive suspension and an active stabilizer system that can be added as an option. These two features work together to bring an entirely new level of performance handling to the table.
