About Jaguar XKR-S

The XKR-S is a high performance variant of the XKR sports car that was first shown off at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011. Significant upgrades over the standard XKR include a supercharged AJ-V8 Gen III R direct-injection V8 engine with a maximum power output of 550 PS (405 kW; 542 hp) at 6,000 to 6,500 rpm and 680 Nm (502 lbfft) of torque at 2,500 to 5,500 rpm; an increased top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph); an active sports exhaust; a bespoke suspension system.

Jaguar is celebrating the end of production of the XK by releasing a limited-edition special model. Only fifty were purchased, and every one of them was made in the United States. The XKR equipped with the Dynamic Pack serves as the foundation for the Final Fifty. An extra-louvered hood, reminiscent of the one found on the XKR-S GT, “Vortex” 20-inch wheels, a rear wing, side sill extensions, and a rear diffuser are some of the distinguishing features found on the exterior. All of the cars in the Final Fifty collection feature a commemorative plaque that was signed by Ian Callum, who was the chief designer at Jaguar at the time. The cars are divided evenly between coupe and convertible body styles with each having 25 examples.

The XKR-S is a limited production (200 units) version of the XKR coupé for the European market. Only 50 units were built in right-hand drive (RHD) for the United Kingdom, and 150 units were built in left-hand drive (LHD). It was not sold outside of the United Kingdom or the European Union. It was a vehicle for the model year 2009, but it was manufactured in 2008. The model was developed by the Special Vehicles team at Jaguar in collaboration with the British competition brake specialist Alcon, and it has an electronically limited top speed of 280 kilometers per hour (km/h) (174 mph). The increased performance was accomplished by modifying the suspension set-up and improving the aerodynamics of the vehicle, which resulted in less drag and lift. Other upgrades include a recalibrated suspension, an Ultimate Black body color, XKR-S badging on the rear of the car, a 10 mm lower ride height, 20-inch Vortex forged alloy wheels with bespoke tyres, an active exhaust system, leather upholstery with Charcoal with Ivory twin-needle contrast stitching, Piano Black veneer, and a heated steering wheel.

The vehicle was first displayed at the Geneva Motor Show in 2008, and then it was displayed at the Paris Motor Show in 2008. In the summer of 2008, the production version was made available for purchase.
