Oil Reset Procedure for Honda Odyssey 1995-2021
Easy to follow oil reset procedure for Honda Odyssey 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Honda Odyssey oil reset procedure for the year 1995 through 1997
With rest button on instrument panel:
1. Turn ignition off.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” button on the instrument panel, and turn to ignition to the “RUN” position.
3. Hold button for at least 10 seconds until the indicator is reset.
4. Turn ignition off.
With key slot on instrument panel:
1. Insert key into slot on the front of the instrument cluster.
2. The indicator will change to green when reset.
Honda Odyssey oil reset procedure for the year 1998 through 1999
With rest button on instrument panel:
1. Turn ignition off.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” button on the instrument panel, and turn to ignition to the “RUN” position.
3. Hold button for at least 10 seconds until the indicator is reset.
4. Turn ignition off.
With key slot on instrument panel:
1. Insert key into slot on the front of the instrument cluster.
2. The indicator will change to green when reset.

1. Turn ignition off.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” button on the instrument panel, and turn to ignition to the “RUN” position.
3. Hold button for at least 10 seconds until the indicator is reset.
4. Turn ignition off.
Honda Odyssey oil reset procedure for the year 2005 through 2010
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob until the enigne life indicator is displayed.
3. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob for more than 10 seconds, the indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
4. Press the “SELECT/ RESET” knob for 5 more seconds, the maintenance code(s) will disappear and oil life will be reset to 100.
5. Turn ignition off.
Honda Odyssey oil reset procedure for the year 2011 through 2012
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob until the enigne life indicator is displayed.
3. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob for more than 10 seconds, the indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
4 Press the “SELECT/ RESET” knob for 5 more seconds, the maintenance code(s) will disappear and oil life will be reset to 100.
5. Turn ignition off.
Honda Odyssey oil reset procedure for the year 2013 through 2015
With Multi Display:
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the up and down arrows until “VEHICLE SETTINGS” is displayed and press the “SEL/RESET” button.
3. Press the up and down arrows until “MAINTENANCE RESET” is displayed.
4. Press the “SEL/RESET” button and the oil life reset mode will be displayed. Use the up and down arrows to select “RESET” and press the “SEL/RESET button.
5. Display will disappear and oil life will be reset to 100%.
6. Turn ignition off.
Without Multi Display:
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob until the enigne life indicator is displayed.
3. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob for more than 10 seconds, the indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
4. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob for 5 more seconds, the maintenance code(s) will disappear and oil life will be reset to 100.
5. Turn ignition off.
Honda Odyssey oil reset procedure for the year 2018 through 2021
Using Instrument Panel:
1. Set the power mode to “On“.
2. Press the “Enter” button located on the steering wheel until the Home screen is displayed.
3. Use the up and down arrows to highlight “Maintenance“, then press “Enter” to select it.
4. Use the up and down arrows to highlight “Oil Life“, then press “Enter” to select it.
5. Note the item for the oil life. Press and hold “Enter” for 10 seconds.
6. Use the up and down arrows to highlight “All Due Items” or the item that corresponds to the oil life.
7. Press and hold “Enter” for until a message is displayed that says reset is complete.
Using Touch Screen:
1. Tap “Settings“.
2. Tap “Vehicle“.
3. Tap “Maintenance Information“.
4. Tap “Oil & Filter“.
5.Tap “Reset“.
6.Tap “Reset” again to confirm.
About Honda Odyssey
The Odyssey was conceived and engineered in Japan in the aftermath of the country’s 1990s economic crisis, which imposed severe constraints on the vehicle’s size and overall concept, requiring the minivan to be manufactured in an existing facility with minimal modification. The result was a smaller minivan, in the compact MPV class, that was well received in the Japanese domestic market and less well received in North America. In Europe, the first generation Odyssey was marketed as the Honda Shuttle.
