Oil Reset Procedure for Honda Ridgeline 2006-2022
Simple to follow oil reset procedure for Honda Ridgeline for the year 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Honda Ridgeline oil reset procedure for the year 2006 through 2008
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “SELECT” button repeatedly until oil life or service message is displayed.
3. Press the “RESET” button for about 10 seconds until “MAINT RESET” is displayed.
4. Select “MAINT RESET N” (no) or “MAINT RESET Y” (yes) by pressing the “SELECT” button repeatedly until “N” or “Y” are displayed on the outside temperature display.
5. Select “MAINT RESET Y” and press and hold the “RESET” button again to reset to 100%.
6. Turn ignition off.
Honda Ridgeline oil reset procedure for the year 2009 through 2011
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob until the enigne life indicator is displayed.
3. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob for more than 10 seconds, the indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
4. Press the “SELECT/ RESET” knob for 5 more seconds, the maintenance code(s) will disappear and oil life will be reset to 100.
5. Turn ignition off.
Honda Ridgeline oil reset procedure for the year 2012 through 2014
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob until the enigne life indicator is displayed.
3. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob for more than 10 seconds, the indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
4. Press the “SELECT/ RESET” knob for 5 more seconds, the maintenance code(s) will disappear and oil life will be reset to 100.
5. Turn ignition off.
Honda Ridgeline oil reset procedure for the year 2021
1. Turn the ignition switch or start button to ON (II) with the engine off.
2. Push the INFO button (right-side steering wheel controls) repeatedly untill the engine oil life indicator is displayed.
3. Press and hold the SEL/RESET button for about 10 seconds.
4. The Maintenance Reset screen appears on the multi-information display.
5. Press the INFO button to select RESET, then press the SEL/RESET button.
6. The maintenance item codes will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100%.
7. If the engine oil life indicator does not reset, repeat the steps.
Honda Ridgeline oil reset procedure for the year 2017 through 2022
Via Cluster Screen:
1. Turn on the ignition
2. Go to the OIL LIFE screen
3. Hold down the RESET button
4. Select RESET
Via Navigation Screen:
1. Press the HOME button to get the main menu
2. Go to SETTINGS
3. Go to VEHICLE
4. Hit reset and the oil life will turn into a hundred percent
About Honda Ridgeline
The Ridgeline is a model of midsize pickup truck that Honda produces under the brand name Ridgeline. Only one pickup truck model, the Ridgeline, is being manufactured by Honda at this time. The Ridgeline is the only configuration available, a crew cab short box, and it only comes with one powertrain option. It is constructed using a unibody frame, and the engine is mounted transversely.
As a vehicle for the 2006 model year, the first generation of the Honda Ridgeline went on sale in March of 2005. The Ridgeline was “Honda’s first foray into the true heartland of the American automotive way of life—the pickup truck,” as the author of The Car Design Yearbook describes it. A group of engineers working for Honda R&D Americas, led by Gary Flint, were responsible for the design and development of it. According to the author of Driving Honda, the automaker wanted to target buyers who were looking to transition out of sedans, minivans, and sport utility vehicles (SUV) into pickups. In other words, the automaker wanted to appeal to buyers who were in the process of making the transition.
