Oil Reset Procedure for Honda Pilot 2003-2021
Simple to follow oil reset procedure for Honda Pilot 2003, 20014, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Honda Pilot oil reset procedure for the year 2003 through 2004
1. Turn ignition off.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” button on the instrument panel, and turn to ignition to the “RUN” position.
3. Hold button for at least 10 seconds until the indicator is reset.
4. Turn ignition off.
Honda Pilot oil reset procedure for the year 2005
1. Turn ignition off.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” button on the instrument panel, and turn to ignition to the “RUN” position.
3. Hold button for at least 10 seconds until the indicator is reset.
4. Turn ignition off.
Honda Pilot oil reset procedure for the year 2006 through 2011
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob until the enigne life indicator is displayed.
3. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob for more than 10 seconds, the indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
4. Press the “SELECT/ RESET” knob for 5 more seconds, the maintenance code(s) will disappear and oil life will be reset to 100.
5. Turn ignition off.
Honda Pilot oil reset procedure for the year 2012
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob until the enigne life indicator is displayed.
3. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob for more than 10 seconds, the indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
4. Press the “SELECT/ RESET” knob for 5 more seconds, the maintenance code(s) will disappear and oil life will be reset to 100.
5. Turn ignition off.
Honda Pilot oil reset procedure for the year 2013 through 2015
With Multi Display:
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the up and down arrows until “VEHICLE SETTINGS” is displayed and press the “SEL/RESET” button.
3. Press the up and down arrows until “MAINTENANCE RESET” is displayed.
4. Press the “SEL/RESET” button and the oil life reset mode will be displayed.
5. Use the up and down arrows to select “RESET” and press the “SEL/RESET button.
6. Display will disappear and oil life will be reset to 100%.
7. Turn ignition off.
Without Multi Display:
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob until the enigne life indicator is displayed.
3. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob for more than 10 seconds, the indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
5. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob for 5 more seconds, the maintenance code(s) will disappear and oil life will be reset to 100.
6. Turn ignition off.
Honda Pilot oil reset procedure for the year 2016 through 2018
1. Turn the power to the vehicle on. Do not start the engine.
2. Go to “Home” > “Settings” > “Vehicle” > “Maintenance Info“.
3. Press and hold the “Reset” button to enter reset mode.
4. Using the arrow buttons, toggle the selection to “Reset“, then push the “Reset” button.
Honda Pilot oil reset procedure for the year 2019 through 2021
1. Turn the power to the vehicle on. Do not start the engine.
2. Go to “Home” > “Settings” > “Vehicle” > “Maintenance Information” > “Oil Life“.
3. Press and hold the “Enter” button for more than 10 seconds. The vehicle will enter reset mode.
4. Use the arrow buttons to toggle to “Oil Life“, then press “Enter“.

Pilots are currently manufactured in Lincoln, Alabama, and until April 2007, the Pilot was manufactured in Alliston, Ontario. The first generation Pilot was introduced as a 2003 model in April 2002.
