Oil Reset Procedure for Chevrolet Traverse 2009-2022
Easy to follow oil reset procedure for Chevrolet Traverse 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Chevrolet Traverse oil reset procedure for the year 2009 through 2011.
With DIC:
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the vehicle information button until “OIL LIFE REMAINING” is displayed.
3. Press and hold the “SET/RESET” button until 100% is displayed and three chimes are heard and the “CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON” message will turn off.
4. Turn ignition off.
Without DIC:
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. With vehicle in park, press the trip odometer stem until “OIL LIFE REMAINING” is displayed.
3. Press and hold the trip odometer stem until 100% is displayed and three chimes are heard and the “CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON” message will turn off.
4. Turn ignition off.
Chevrolet Traverse oil reset procedure for the year 2012 through 2015.
With DIC:
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the vehicle information button until “OIL LIFE REMAINING” is displayed.
3. Press and hold the “SET/RESET” button until 100% is displayed and three chimes are heard and the “CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON” message will turn off.
4. Turn ignition off.
Without DIC:
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. With vehicle in park, press the trip odometer stem until “OIL LIFE REMAINING” is displayed.
3. Press and hold the trip odometer stem until 100% is displayed and three chimes are heard and the “CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON” message will turn off.
4. Turn ignition off.
Chevrolet Traverse oil reset procedure for the year 2018 through 2021.
1. Turn the ignition to “On“. Do not start the engine.
2. Use the arrow pad on the steering wheel to move to the “Vehicle” tab.
3. Use the ▲▼ arrows to display the “Remaining Oil Life“.
4. With the Remaining Oil Life displayed, press and hold the ✔️ button until the display shows “Are you sure that you want to reset?“.
5. Use the ▲▼ arrows to highlight “Yes“, then press ✔️ to complete the oil reset.
Or you can also try this procedure.
1. Turn the ignition to “On“. Do not start the engine.
2. Slowly press the accelerator pedal all the way down 3 times within 5 seconds.

Base Level Screen
1. First, start the car
2. Get to the VEHICLE or i tab
So you want to go ahead and press the ◄or► key to take you to the VEHICLE or i tab.
3. Find the OIL LIFE
Then you’re gonna go ahead and press the ▼ arrow key until you see the OIL LIFE
4. Hold in the ✓ checkmark button
On that screen, press the key with the ✓ checkmarks on it for a little bit till you see are you sure you wanna reset?
5. Select Yes
Uplevel Screen
1. Begin by turning the ignition key
2. Then tap the ◄ left arrow, which will bring up your primary menus
3. We’ll scroll up the left side of the screen until we get to INFO and then press the ✓ key to get to the desired information.
4. At this point, you’ll push the right-hand wheel arrows once more until you reach to OIL LIFE percentage, which will be on this screen.
5. Press and hold the ✓ key until the screen beeps and reads 100%, then release
