Oil Reset Procedure for Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD 2001-2015

 

 

 

Simple to follow oil reset procedure for Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD for the year 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2103, 2014 and 2015.

 

 

 

Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD oil reset procedure for the year 2001 through 2007.

1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position and immediately press and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.

2. If the “CHANGE OIL SOON” light flashes, the system is reset.

3. Turn ignition off.

 

Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD oil reset procedure for the year 2001 through 2006.

1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position and immediately press and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.

2. If the “CHANGE OIL SOON” light flashes, the system is reset.

3. Turn ignition off.

 

Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD oil reset procedure for the year 2008 through 2015.

1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position. Display “OIL LIFE REMAINING” on the DIC.

2. Press and hold the “SET/RESET” button for more than 5 seconds. Oil life will reset to 100%.

3. Turn ignition off. If vehicle does not have DIC, vehicle must be in park to access the display by pressing the trip odometer reset stem.

4. Press and hold for more than 5 seconds and oil life will reset to 100%.

5. Turn ignition off.

6. Alternative method is to turn ignition to “RUN” position and press and release accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.

7. Turn ignition off.

 

 

 

 

About Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD

 

GMC debuted the Sierra All Terrain X in 2016, and it came standard with a 5.3-liter V8 engine that featured a performance exhaust system. This gave the vehicle an increased horsepower rating of 365, up from 355. On the outside, the Sierra All Terrain X has a black bed-mounted sport bar, black 18-inch wheels with with larger 265/65R18SL Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac MT tires, LED off-road lights, and blacked-out details. Additionally, it has larger 265/65R18SL Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac MT tires.

Following the release of the Sierra 1500 All Terrain X full-size pickup and the Canyon All Terrain X compact pickup, GMC brought the Sierra HD All Terrain X into its family of heavy-duty pickups in 2017. This was the first time that GMC had used the same formula to any of its pickups.

Models of the All Terrain X have a grille surround that is painted the same color as the body and an All Terrain-specific grille insert. It has a homogeneous appearance thanks to black highlights, which include belt moldings, a front bumper skid plate, and B-pillar accents. The door handles, front and rear bumpers, and bodyside moldings are all colored to match the body.

In addition, Sierra HD All Terrain X models come standard with black-painted aluminum wheels that are eighteen inches in diameter and are equipped with LT275/65R18 Goodyear Duratrac MT-rated tires. These models also include four-inch black sport side steps, black heated and power-folding trailering mirrors with integrated turn signals and LED guidance lamps, a spray-on bedliner, and a bed-mounted sport bar that is black in color and is designed to support optional GMC Accessories LED

GMC IntelliLink with an 8-inch-diagonal color touchscreen, Teen Driver, remote-locking tailgate, remote starting system, Rear Vision Camera, adjustable pedals, leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, and wireless mobile device charging are all included inside of the 2017 Sierra 2500 HD All Terrain X.

Additionally, the Z71 off-road suspension option is standard on the Sierra HD All Terrain X. This package includes front underbody and transfer case skid plates, twin-tube Rancho shocks, hill descent control, and off-road information graphics in the Driver Information Center. Also included as standard equipment is an Eaton automatically locking rear differential with a ratio of 4.10:1.
