Oil Reset Procedure for Cadillac SRX 2004-2015
Easy to follow oil reset procedure for Cadillac SRX 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Cadillac SRX oil reset procedure for the year 2004 through 2009.
With DIC:
1. Turn ignition to the “ON” position.
2. Push info button until “OIL LIFE” is displayed.
3. Press and hold “CLR” or “RESET” button until “100%” is displayed.
With navigation system:
1. With engine running, press “PWR/VOL” button.
2. Press and hold “INFO” until information menu is entered.
3. Select ENGINE OIL LIFE.
4. Press and hold “RESET” button until “100%” is displayed.
Cadillac SRX oil reset procedure for the year 2012 through 2015.
1. Display the “Oil Life Remaining” message in the Driver Information Center
2. Press and hold the SET/RESET button on the Driver Information Center for more than 5 seconds (on vehicles without DIC, use the TRIP reset stem for SET/RESET)
3. The oil life will change to “100%”

1. Turn ignition switch to ON position with engine off
2. Press MENU button on the turn signal lever to scroll through the menu items to get to “Change Engine Oil Soon” OR “Remaining Oil Life” message
3. Press the SET/CLR button to reset oil life to 100%
4. Turn the key to the OFF position and back on to confirm reset successful

1. Turn ignition switch to ON position with engine off
2. Fully depress and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds of turning key
3. Change Oil lamp will flash for 2-10 seconds while it resets
4. Once it stops flashing, the maintenance light reset is complete
5. Turn key to OFF position and then start engine to verify indicator is no longer illuminated

1. Press the MENU button to display the “Vehicle Information Menu”
2. Press either the UP or DOWN arrows to view “Remaining Oil Life”
3. Press the SET/CLR button until “100%” is displayed
4. Turn the key to the OFF position and back on to confirm reset successful
Or you can also try this procedure for Cadillac SRX year 2004 though 2009.
1. Turn ignition switch to ON position with engine off, and turn radio on
2. Turn the TUNE/SEL knob until “Engine Oil Life” is highlighted and then press the knob once to select it
3. Once “XXX% Engine Oil Life” is displayed, press the multi-function button next to the “Reset” prompt in the upper right corner of the display
4. The percentage will return to 100 and the oil life indicator will be reset
5. Turn the key to the OFF position and back on to confirm reset successful
About Cadillac SRX
The Cadillac SRX is a mid-size luxury SUV as well as a compact luxury crossover SUV (CUV) that has been manufactured and marketed by Cadillac over the course of two generations: the first generation as a five-door, three-row, seven-passenger CUV (2003–2009), and the second generation as a five-door, two-row, five-passenger CUV (2010–2016) – the latter becoming Cadillac’s best selling model in the United States.
The 255 hp (190 kW) High-Feature V6 and the 4.6 L 320 hp (239 kW) Northstar V8 were available as engine options. It was built on the GM Sigma platform and offered a five or six-speed automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive, four-wheel drive, and MagneRide. The first generation SRX was a Sigma platform vehicle with a longitudinally mounted front engine, a longitudinal transmission mounted behind the engine, and a rear drive differential. The AWD option was implemented with a transfer case mounted to the transmission’s rear, with a propeller shaft forward to a front differential powering the front wheels.
