The following are the key programming procedures for Cadillac SRX for the year 2010 and 2015.

ON-BOARD PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS #1

Programming with a Recognized Transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only) A new transmitter can be programmed to the vehicle when there is one recognized transmitter. To program, the vehicle must be off and all of the transmitters, both currently recognized and new, must be with you.

1. Place the recognized transmitter(s) in the cupholder.

2. Insert the vehicle key of the new transmitter into the key lock cylinder located on the outside of the driver door and turn the key to the unlock position five times within ten seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) displays READY TO LEARN ELECTRONIC KEY #2, 3, 4, ETC.

3. Place the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket. The transmitter pocket is inside the center console storage area located between the driver and front passenger seats. The storage area will need to be opened and the storage tray lifted up to access the transmitter pocket. Cadillac SRX Owner Manual – 2010 Black plate (7,1) Keys, Doors and Windows 1-7

About Cadillac SRX

The 2015 SRX is a respectable midsize luxury SUV in good condition. The series is powered by a strong V6 engine, but it delivers below-average fuel economy. The SRX achieves an excellent blend of assured handling and a comfortable ride. The front seats are plush and comfortable, although larger travelers may wish for greater headroom in the rear seats. The SRX’s load capacity, crash test scores, and dependability rating are all within the class average. In short, this Cadillac is a competent vehicle, but it lacks the versatility of some of its more well-rounded competitors in this competitive segment.

When it comes to predicted gas, insurance, repair, and maintenance expenditures, the 2015 SRX is exactly in the middle of its class. You should budget around $31,600 for these expenses over a five-year period. However, other competitors are more affordable to own. The expected five-year expenditures of a 2015 Lexus RX 350 are typically roughly $1,000 less than those of the SRX, while the projected five-year costs of a 2015 Lincoln MKX are more than $5,500 less.

The Cadillac SRX was last manufactured for the 2016 model year, and hence no new SRX versions are currently available. It was phased out in favor of the Cadillac XT5.

The 2019 XT5 begins at approximately $41,700, a significant increase above the average price of a used 2015 SRX. Both models feature a powerful engine and a well-balanced, pleasant ride. Cargo space is also pretty comparable between the two versions. The XT5 is equipped with standard technologies that no SRX does, like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and wireless phone charging. If you can live without those features, the significant price rise associated with a new XT5 may not be worth it.
