About Cadillac XTS
If you’re looking for a used premium large sedan, the 2014 Cadillac XTS is a good choice. It’s a really comfortable highway cruiser, with lovely materials and plenty of sitting space. The XTS also performs well in crash tests, and used cars are often far less expensive than competitors in the class, like as the Audi A7 and Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class.
The 2014 XTS comes standard with a 305-horsepower V6 engine, a six-speed automated transmission, and front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is an option. Vsport vehicles are equipped with a 410-horsepower, twin-turbocharged version of this engine that is only available with all-wheel drive. The base V6 propels the Cadillac with enough oomph while returning respectable fuel economy of 18 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the interstate (17/26 mpg with AWD). The XTS Vsport seems significantly more dynamic and has superior passing power, despite having a lower 16/24 mpg rating.
Cadillac’s Magnetic Ride Control system is standard on all XTS sedans, and it instantly adjusts the suspension to handle varying road surfaces. As a result, the XTS rides nicely over bumps and dips in the road while being reasonably composed around turns. The steering is quick and well-weighted. Even in Vsport trim, the XTS isn’t a sport sedan. It excels at gobbling up highway miles silently and comfortably.
