About Pontiac G5

The Pontiac G5 is a compact car that was introduced by Pontiac in 2004 as a replacement for the Pontiac Sunfire for the 2005 model year. Pontiac Pursuit and Pontiac G4 were introduced in Canada and Mexico, respectively. It was released in the United States in August 2006 as a 2007 model under the name G5. Due to the confusion of names, Pontiac decided that all Pontiacs would be sold under the Pontiac G5 name beginning in 2007.

The G5 is available in two body styles: sedan (for Mexico and Canada) and coupe. The G5’s chassis is built on GM’s Delta platform, which is also used by the Chevrolet HHR, Chevrolet Cobalt, Saturn ION, and Saturn Astra. The Lordston, Ohio plant manufactures all G5s. (Source: Wiki)
