About Pontiac Montana SV6
The name was changed to Montana SV6 when the van was redesigned in 2004 for the 2005 model year. It was discontinued in the United States after the 2006 model year due to low sales, but it was still sold in Canada and Mexico until 2009. Pontiac minivans have been GM’s most popular minivans in Canada since their introduction.
The assembly plant in Doraville, Georgia, which produced the Montana and its siblings, closed on September 26, 2008. The Montana SV6 was sold in Canada and Mexico until 2009, a year before the Pontiac brand was phased out in 2010. Chevrolet also introduced a nearly identical twin to Pontiac, named the Chevrolet Trans Sport, for European consumers. The GL8 from 2000 to 2005 is similar to the first-generation Pontiac Montana, and the GL8 from 2005 to 2016 is similar to the Pontiac Montana SV6. Buick GL8 minivans in both generations were only sold in China. (Source: Wiki)
