Oil Reset Procedure for Mercury Grand Marquis for the year 2006 through 2011
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “SELECT” button. “OIL LIFE START VALUE SET TO %” will be displayed.
3. Press and hold the “RESET” button for 2 seconds. “OIL LIFE % HOLD RESET IF NEW OIL” will be displayed.
4. Press and hold the “RESET” button for 3 seconds. “OIL LIFE START VALUE SET TO %” will be displayed.
5. Turn ignition off.
Oil Reset Procedure for Mercury Grand Marquis for the year 2006 through 2010
1. Press the SETUP button until the display reads “Press Select To Begin System Check”
2. Press the SELECT button to display “Oil Life – Press Reset If New Oil”
3. Press and hold the RESET button until “Oil Life Start Value Set To 100%” is displayed
4. The oil life is now set to 100%

1. Press and release the SELECT/RESET button to scroll through the menus until “Hold Reset For Setup Menu” appears
2. Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button for 2 seconds or until the “Oil Life XXX% Hold Reset = New” message appears and then release
3. Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button for 2 seconds again or until “Oil Life Set To 100%” appears
4. Release the button and the oil life is now reset
