Simple to follow oil reset procedure for Lexus IS 300 for the year 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Oil Reset Procedure for Lexus IS 300 for the year 2000 through 2005
1. Close all doors, gear to the park position.
2. Stop the car, turn the ignition switch to the ON position, (Don’t start the engine).
3. Press the TRIP button, to display ODO.
4. Turn Off the ignition.
5. Turn the ignition on while pressing and holding the TRIP button until the 000000 appears on the screen and the MAINT REQD light turns off.
6. Turn off the ignition, oil Maintenance Required reset is complete.
Oil Reset Procedure for Lexus IS 300 for the year 2004 through 2005
1. Turn the ignition to run, one position before starting engine.
2. Bring up the odometer reading using the trip meter reset knob then the turn ignition off.
3. Hold down the trip meter reset knob while turning the ignition key to the run position (one position before starting engine).
4. Hold down the button for 5 seconds or more.
5. The odometer indicates 000000 and the light goes off.
6. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
Oil Reset Procedure for Lexus IS 300 for the year 2005
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Display the odometer, then turn ignition off.
3. Hold down the “TRIP METER RESET” knob while turning ignition to the “RUN” position.
4. Hold down knob for 5 seconds or more until “000000” is displayed.
5. Turn ignition off.
Oil Reset Procedure for Lexus IS 300 for the year 2017 through 2019
1. Close all doors, gear to the park position.
2. Stop the car, turn the ignition switch to the ON position. (press the power Button 2x) Without touching the brake pedal.
3. Press press the BACK button to close the popup.
4. Scroll to the right to navigate SETTINGS then press the ENTER button (center dot).
5. Scroll down to VEHICLE SETTINGS then press the ENTER button (Center dot).
6. Scroll down to SCHEDULE MAINTENANCE then press the ENTER button (Center dot).
You can also reset the OIL MAINTENANCE , When the oil change is done.
7. Select YES then press the SET button (Center dot).
8. THE DATA HAS BEEN RESET. Turn off the ignition, oil reset is complete.
About Lexus IS 300
It was in October of 1998 when the first-generation Altezza, which was given the codename XE10, was introduced for the first time in Japan. The following year, the Lexus IS 200 (GXE10) was introduced in Europe, and the IS 300 (JCE10) was introduced in North America. The first generation of models were offered in both sedan and wagon body styles, and they were powered by a straight-six engine.
