About Lexus GS 300

The Lexus GS is one of the most eye-catching sport sedans on the market. It combines a challenging style, a fantastic down-the-road driving feel, and an aggressive edge. Every year, Lexus sells about 25,000 GS models (roughly 20,000 GS300s and 5000 GS430s), which is slightly less than the number of BMW 5-series sedans sold.

The SportDesign is part of Lexus’ effort to boost sales of the GS, which is now in its fifth year and isn’t due for a redesign anytime soon. The GS300’s highlights are its 220-horsepower, 3.0-liter in-line six (with button-type E-shift on the steering wheel) and slightly softer chassis tuning than the GS430. The interior of the SportDesign features perforated leather upholstery, black-stained walnut trim, and a brushed-aluminum panel on the center console. More importantly, it features the GS430’s wider 225/55VR-16 Michelin Pilot HX tires on polished alloy wheels, as well as a sport suspension. This summer, approximately 3300 cars will receive this treatment.
