Oil Reset Procedure for KIA Optima 2011-2020
Simple to follow oil reset procedure for KIA Optima for the year 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
KIA Optima oil reset procedure for the year 2011 through 2013
1. Place the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine
2. Press and hold the TRIP button until USER SETTINGS appears on the display
3. Select MAINTENANCE by using the TRIP button to scroll and press the RESET button to select the menu
4. Select ENGINE OIL
5. In this menu you can set an engine oil reminder at a specific interval
KIA Optima oil reset procedure for the year 2013
1. Start engine.
2. If “SERVICE REQUIRED” is displayed, then reset by pressing the “RESET” button for more than 1 second.
3. Press the “TRIP” button to select “SERVICE COMPLETE, RESET”.
4. Turn ignition off.

1. Start engine.
2. If “SERVICE REQUIRED” is displayed, then reset by pressing the “OK” button for more than 1 second.
3. Turn ignition off.

3. Turn ignition off.
KIA Optima oil reset procedure for the year 2020
1. Turn the ignition ON with the engine off or press the START-STOP button twice without touching the brake pedal.
2. Press the RESET (or SELECT/RESET, or OK) button for more than 1 second while Service Mode is displayed.
3. The display will change to “Service Message” mode.
4. You can move to items by pressing the TRIP button and select the desired item by pressing the RESET button.

1. Turn the ignition ON with the engine off or press the START-STOP button twice without touching the brake pedal.
2. Use the menu button on the steering wheel to select USER SETTINGS and press the OK button.
3. Use the menu button on the steering wheel to select SERVICE INTERVAL and press OK.
4. Use the menu button on the steering wheel to select RESET and press OK.
5. RESET TIME AND DISTANCE is displayed.
6. Use the menu button on the steering wheel to select YES and press OK.
About KIA Optima
Since the year 2000, Kia has been producing a mid-size car known as the Kia K5, which was formerly known as the Kia Optima. This car has been marketed globally under a variety of nameplates. Although the first generation of cars were primarily marketed under the name Optima, the name Kia Magentis was used in Europe and Canada when sales began in those regions in the year 2002. Kia used the names Kia Lotze and Kia K5 for the second-generation models that were sold in South Korea. The company used the name Magentis for all other markets around the world, with the exception of the United States of America, Canada, and Malaysia, where the Optima name was kept until the 2021 model year. Since the debut of the fifth generation in 2019, the K5 moniker has been applied to vehicles sold in every market.
Between the years 2000 and 2005, Optimas were simply rebadged versions of the Hyundai Sonata. They were virtually identical to the Sonata, with the exception of a few minor exterior styling details and the equipment content. The Kia-Hyundai platform integration plan’s debut product, it made its debut in July of 2000 in South Korea, where it was exhibited for the first time.
