About KIA Cadenza

The Cadenza rides on the new Type-N platform, which features front-wheel drive and a MacPherson front suspension in addition to a multilink rear suspension. There were three different gasoline engines available for the Cadenza, ranging from 165 horsepower for the 2.0-liter Lambda to 290 horsepower for the 3.5-liter Lambda. In addition to that, there was also a brand new 2.4-liter Theta II that featured gasoline direct injection (GDI) and generated 201 horsepower. There was a hybrid version of the K7 700h available in Korea. It had a four-cylinder engine that produced 159 horsepower and an electric motor that produced 35 kW.

Peter Schreyer, who had previously held the position of chief designer at Audi, was the brains behind the design of the Kia Cadenza. In addition, the Tiger Nose grille that is emblematic of the brand can be found on the Kia Cadenza.

Kia made the announcement back in January 2013 that the Cadenza will be offered for sale in the United States. It is the Kia Azera, which is based on the Hyundai Azera. Leather seats, Bluetooth connectivity, a navigation system, Kia UVO, alloy wheels, and other luxury car features will be included as standard equipment in this model. This was one of five Korean luxury sedans sold in the United States at the time; the other four cars were the Hyundai Azera, Hyundai Genesis, Kia K900, and Hyundai Equus. This particular vehicle was the Kia K900.

In June 2019, the Cadenza received a facelift. A new 2.5L SmartStream G engine replaces the 2.4L Theta II GDI engine, and a 3.5L Lambda II MPI engine replaces the 3.3L Lambda II GDI engine in some regions. The styling update includes a new grille and hood, front and rear bumpers, wheel design, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.
