Oil Reset Procedure for Buick Rendezvous 2002-2007
Simple to follow oil reset procedure for Buick Rendezvous for the year 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Buick Rendezvous oil reset procedure for the year 2002 through 2005.
With DIC:
1. Turn ignition to the “ON” position.
2. Press “MODE” button repeatedly until oil life is displayed.
3. Press and hold “RESET” for 5 seconds.
Without DIC:
1. Turn ignition to the “ON” position.
2. Slowly depress accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. “CHANGE OIL SOON” lamp will flash.
3. Turn ignition off.
4. Start engine. Oil life will display 100%.

With DIC:
1. Turn ignition to the “ON” position.
2. Press “MODE” button repeatedly until oil life is displayed.
3. Press and hold “RESET” for 5 seconds.
Without DIC:
1. Turn ignition to the “ON” position.
2. Slowly depress accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. “CHANGE OIL SOON” lamp will flash.
3. Turn ignition off.
4. Start engine. Oil life will display 100%.

About Buick Rendezvous
The Rendezvous was billed as a combination of the best characteristics of a minivan (large cargo capacity, seating for up to seven), a luxury automobile (ride, handling, smoothness), and a sport utility vehicle (ride, handling, smoothness). It was the first truck that Buick had included in its lineup since 1923. (truck styling and available all wheel drive).
The Pontiac Aztek and the General Motors Rendezvous were built on the same assembly line at the General Motors plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, where the Rendezvous was manufactured. A shortened version of General Motors’ second generation U platform minivans serves as the foundation for both the Pontiac Aztek and the Buick Rendezvous. The Rendezvous was equipped with a full-time, fully automatic all-wheel drive system known as Versatrak rather than a four-wheel drive system. This system offered sure-footed traction in inclement weather and was able to handle moderate off-road surfaces.
When developing the Rendezvous, Buick used their Park Avenue sedan as a standard to measure against in terms of ride quality and handling. Regardless of the optional content or trim level, every Rendezvous came standard with a fully independent rear suspension system. This was done so that the vehicle could deliver a ride that was both luxurious and responsive, like that of a car.
The instrument cluster detailing of the Rendezvous featured teal illuminated needles and numbers set in a silver face that was accented by chrome trim rings. This was done in order to evoke the luxurious appearance and sensation of an expensive watch or designer bracelet. A trip computer that included readings of fuel economy, range, and fuel used was included in the higher-end CXL model’s driver information center, which was located on the instrument panel. The driver information center also displayed the current outside temperature. Additionally, a heads-up display of the second generation was available as an add-on. The CX model had this feature as an option as well. Readings of the tire pressure were provided by an optional tire inflation monitoring system, and a warning was issued if the pressure was outside of the acceptable range.
