About Audi RS4

On the Audi “B6” platform, which was used as the foundation for the Audi A4 between the years of 2001 and 2005, there was never an RS 4 model produced. On the other hand, the second generation Audi RS 4 quattro (Typ 8E) was manufactured on Audi’s “B7” platform in Neckarsulm, Germany by quattro GmbH[8]. It was first shown to the public in February of 2005, during a celebration called “quattro Night” that was held at Audi’s headquarters in Ingolstadt, Germany.

Midway through the year 2006, consumers in Europe were given access to the RS 4. It first made its debut in January 2006 at the North American International Auto Show, and it arrived in North American markets in June of that same year. Although the B7 RS 4 was manufactured from 2006 all the way through 2008, only the model years 2007 and 2008 were made available for purchase in the United States. There are approximately 10,000 B7 RS 4s in existence, approximately 2,000 of which are located in the United States.

From late 2006 until 2008, the B7 RS 4 Cabriolet was available for purchase in Europe. Additionally, it was offered in the United States in a restricted quantity each year and retailed at a premium of $2,000 above the list price.

The B7 RS 4 saloon can reach speeds of 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour) in 4.8 seconds and 0 to 200 kilometers per hour (124 miles per hour) in 16.6 seconds, according to the factory numbers provided by Audi. The majority of European magazines recorded results that were comparable to the comparison of “ultimate sedans” that was published in Road & Track in November 2009, which recorded a time of 4.5 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h). It takes the Avant 4.9 seconds to go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour). Electronic controls “officially” cap the maximum speed at 250 kilometers per hour across the board (155.3 mph).
