Easy to follow procedure for Audi A4 Quattro oil reset for the year 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
From the year 1998-1999
- Press and hold button on right side of instrument panel.
- Turn ignition to the “ON” position. “OIL”or “SERVICE OIL” will appear in display.
- Release button.
- Pull out button on left side of instrument panel until “—” or “SERVICE —” appears in display.
- Turn ignition off.
From the year 2000-2001
- With ignition off, press and hold button on right side of instrument panel.
- Turn ignition to the “ON” position.
- Release button. “SERVICE!” or “SERVICE IN xxxx MI” will appear in display.
- Turn button on left side of instrument panel to the left until display clears.
- Turn ignition off.
From the year 2000-2006
- With ignition off, press and hold middle button on right side of instrument panel.
- Turn ignition to the “ON” position. Release button. “SERVICE!” or “SERVICE IN xxxx MI” will appear in display.
- Press right hand button on right side of instrument panel until display clears.
- Turn ignition off.
From the year 2006-2009
- With ignition off, press and hold button on right side of instrument panel.
- Turn ignition to the “ON” position.
- Release button. “SERVICE!” or “SERVICE IN xxxx MI” will appear in display.
- Turn button on left side of instrument panel to the left until display clears.
- Turn ignition off.
About Audi A4 Quattro
The quattro permanent four-wheel drive system utilizes the most recent Torsen T-3 center differential, and it has a default 40:60 front to rear asymmetric torque distribution ratio (which was utilized for the first time on the B7 RS4). (Previous generations of the A4 Quattro split torque in a default ratio of 50:50 front to rear). The additional torque bias that is applied to the rear wheels helps the vehicle’s driving dynamics more closely resemble those of rear-wheel drive automobiles.
It was reported that Audi would no longer provide 3.2L V6 models beginning with the 2010 model year; however, the brand continues to provide these engines as of August 2011. (Germany).
All gasoline engines use Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI), and all diesel engines use the common rail fuel delivery system (with a pressure of 1,600 bars or 23,000 psi), and their turbocharged direct injection engines use piezo injectors.
Additional 163ps TDIe and TDI Ultra engines were introduced with the B8.5 facelift in 2012; the latter required the addition of adblue to allow for cleaner running. Both of these engines fell into the lower emissions tax bracket for the UK and presented a significant performance improvement in comparison to the base 136ps and mid-range 143ps models.
In 2009, Audi announced that the S-Tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission with seven speeds would be available as an option for the A4 in the markets of the UK and Europe.
Every A4L model comes standard with a continuously variable/manual transmission called Speed 8 multitronic, with the exception of the A4L 3.2 FSI quattro, which has an automatic transmission called Tiptronic.
In 2013, Volkswagen reached a settlement with a class-action lawsuit over alleged defects in the continuously variable transmission (CVT) found in certain 2002–2006 model year Audi A4 and A6 automobiles.
It has a 1,968 cc (120 cu in) common rail TDI diesel engine with 120 PS (88 kW; 118 hp) and 290 Nm (210 lbft), a stop-start system, and regenerative braking. It has a fuel consumption of 3.99L/100 km (58.95 mpg) and a CO2 emissions of 105 g/km. It has a top speed of 206 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.7 seconds (128 mph).
Other features include power steering powered by an electric motor, revised aerodynamics, low-rolling-resistance 225/45R17 tires, and electric rear brake actuation.
The vehicle was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show.
