About Volvo S60R

The first generation (2000-2009) was introduced in the fall of 2000 to replace the S70 and was built on the P2 platform. It had a similar-looking estate version called the Volvo V70, as well as a high-performance engine and sports-oriented suspension version called the S60 R. Styling cues were borrowed from the ECC concept car and the S80.

The Haldex-sourced computer-controlled AWD system, which was standard on the S60R, was optionally available when paired with the 2.5 liter engine. The Geartronic automatic transmission offered five speeds that adapt to driving style, while the “Auto-Stick” manual mode offered the ability to select gears by moving the gearstick forward or back. The second automatic five-speed transmission lacked the manual mode feature. The third option was a more traditional manual five-speed transmission. (Source: Wiki)
