About Volkswagen Passat AWD

After Volkswagen’s other joint venture Shanghai Volkswagen decided to continue using the B5 platform for the Passat and Passat Lingyu, FAW-VW released the PQ46 Passat as the Magotan in Asia (long-wheelbase Passat). Since August 2010, the wagon version of the Passat B6 has been available in Asia as a fully imported model. However, in China, this vehicle is simply known as the Volkswagen Variant, as the names “Passat” and “Magotan” are not used.

A limited edition Passat R36 with a 3.6-litre V6 engine was available only in Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. This Passat had 300 horsepower, dual exhaust tips, an aggressive front bonnet, and All Wheel Drive. (Source: Wiki)
