Oil Reset Procedure for Volkswagen Passat for the year 1997
1. With ignition off, press and hold the “TRIP” button and turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. “OIL” or “SERVICE OIL” will be displayed, release button.
3. (With digital clock – adjustment button must be turned to the right)(With analog clock – adjustment button must be pulled).
4. Turn ignition off.
Vehicles with center cluster:
1. With ignition off, press and hold the “TRIP” button and turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. “SERVICE NOW” will be displayed, release button.
3. Turn “TRIP” button to right to reset service.
4. Turn ignition off.

1. With ignition off, press and hold the “TRIP” button and turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. “OIL” or “SERVICE OIL” will be displayed, release button.

1. With ignition off, press an hold the “0,0” button and turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the double square button briefly and turn ignition off.
3. Or Turn ignition to the “RUN” position, use rocker switch on the wiper lever to select “SETTINGS” and confirm with button underneath wiper lever.
4. Select “SERVICE” and then “RESET” and confirm.
5. Turn ignition off or turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
6. Use buttons on right side of steering wheel to select “SETTINGS” menu followed by “SERVICE” and then “RESET” and confirm.
7. Turn ignition off.

1. With ignition off, press an hold the “0,0” button and turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the double square button briefly and turn ignition off.
3. Or Turn ignition to the “RUN” position, use rocker switch on the wiper lever to select “SETTINGS” and confirm with button underneath wiper lever.
4. Select “SERVICE” and then “RESET” and confirm.
5. Turn ignition off or Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
6. Use buttons on right side of steering wheel to select “SETTINGS” menu followed by “SERVICE” and then “RESET” and confirm.
7. Turn ignition off.
