About Toyota Corolla
Corollas are built in Japan at the original Takaoka plant, which opened in 1966. Various manufacturing plants have been constructed in Brazil (Indaiatuba, So Paulo), Canada (Cambridge, Ontario), China (Tianjin), Pakistan (Karachi), South Africa (Durban), Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey, and the United Kingdom (Derbyshire). Previously, manufacturing or assembly took place in Australia (Victoria), India (Bangalore), Indonesia (Jakarta), Malaysia, New Zealand (Thames), the Philippines (Santa Rosa, Laguna), and Venezuela.
In the United States, production (at NUMMI in Fremont, California) ceased in March 2010. Following the opening of the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi plant in Blue Springs, Mississippi in November 2011, production resumed the following year. (Source: Wiki)
