About Saturn VUE

The Saturn Vue is a compact SUV sold and manufactured by Saturn that was the company’s best-selling model. When it was introduced in 2001 for the 2002 model year, it was the first vehicle to use the GM Theta platform. For the 2006 model year, the Vue received a facelift. In 2007, a rebadged Opel Antara was introduced as the second generation model for the 2008 model year. The Saturn brand was phased out of production in North America as part of GM’s 2009 reorganization.

For the 2008 model year, Saturn introduced the second generation Vue, which was manufactured in Mexico as a rebranded version of the German-designed Opel Antara. Saturn offered four trim levels: base “XE”, classier, up-level “XR”, top-of-the-line sporty “Red Line” and a “Green Line” hybrid trim. A 2.4L inline 4 cylinder engine is available, as are 3.5L and 3.6L V6 engines. The 2.4-liter model was also available with a hybrid powertrain. The front doors now featured GM badges. The Mexican-made Vue was also sold as the Chevrolet Captiva Sport in Mexico and South America, with only badges and a new grille insert changed.

Following the demise of the Saturn brand in 2009, the Vue was discontinued for the 2010 model year. GM, on the other hand, continued to manufacture the Chevrolet Captiva Sport for the Mexican and South American markets. The Chevrolet Captiva Sport was introduced in late 2011 for the US commercial and fleet markets for the 2012 model year. (Source: Wiki)
