About Pontiac Montana
The Pontiac Montana is a minivan manufactured by General Motors and sold under the Pontiac brand from 1997 to 2009. In the first generation, it was badge-engineered as the Chevrolet Venture and the Oldsmobile Silhouette, and in the second generation, it was badge-engineered as the Chevrolet Uplander, Saturn Relay, and Buick Terraza. It was known as the Pontiac Trans Sport prior to the 1997 model year.
The Montana moniker was added to the Trans Sport in 1996 for the 1997 model year as part of an available trim package. Because of the popularity of this package, the line was renamed Montana in 1998 for the 1999 model year in the United States and 1999 for the 2000 model year in Canada. The name was changed to Montana SV6 when the van was redesigned in 2004 for the 2005 model year. It was discontinued in the United States after the 2006 model year due to low sales, but it was still sold in Canada and Mexico until 2009. Pontiac minivans have been GM’s most popular minivans in Canada since their introduction. (Source: Wiki)
