About Lexus HS 250h
At the North American International Auto Show in 2009, Lexus debuted the HS 250h for the very first time, with the intention of eventually selling the automobile in major markets all over the world, including the United States of America and Japan. Officials from the division claim that the production of the HS was a response to the interest shown by customers in dedicated hybrid models. Many customers have indicated that they are willing to purchase such a vehicle if it were made available by a luxury brand.
The popularity of the Toyota Prius among consumers with higher incomes was another factor that was taken into account. The finished product, the HS 250h, would enter the market as the model in the Lexus lineup with the best fuel economy. At the time of its release, the HS 250h was marketed as the most fuel-efficient luxury vehicle available in the United States. The fuel economy ratings of the HS 250h were eventually surpassed by the CT 200h, which debuted in 2011.
To appeal to environmentally conscious buyers, the HS 250h was designed with carbon footprint reduction in mind, including the use of plant-derived “eco-plastic” (bioplastic) materials for the interior, cargo space, and foam injected areas. Kenaf fibers and castor seeds were used as bioplastic plant sources.
