About Ford Focus

Ford brought together its international and North American models for the third generation of its cars by making the international Mk3 available in all markets around the world. The previous version sold in North America was phased out, and the new model was introduced in both North America and Europe at the same time in the beginning of 2011, after production on both models had begun in the latter half of 2010.

At the North American International Auto Show in 2010, Ford presented the world with the all-new Focus. The vehicle that was displayed was a hatchback model with five doors, and it also marked the debut of a new 2.0-liter direct injection inline-four engine. In addition, a station wagon with five doors was made available right from the start. The new generation was introduced to the market at the same time in both Europe and North America at the beginning of 2011, with production having begun in late 2010. Production was supposed to follow later in Asia, Africa, Australia, and South America; however, the plan to produce in Australia was ultimately scrapped, and a new factory in Thailand was opened in June 2012 to supply the Asian market, as well as New Zealand and the rest of Oceania. Production in Asia, Africa, Australia, and South America were supposed to follow later.

At the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, Ford provided a sneak peek of the newly facelifted third-generation model. The redesigned front end of the updated version incorporates Ford’s new family grille and slimline headlights. Additionally, the front end has been completely redesigned. All-wheel drive is a new feature available on the updated Focus RS.

Ford unveiled the fourth-generation Focus for the European and Asian markets on April 10, 2018, to commemorate the brand’s 20th anniversary. The model, like the previous generation, is available in sedan, hatchback, and estate body styles.
