About Ford C-MAX
The second generation C-Max (C344) is constructed on Ford’s new Global C platform, which is also used in the production of the third generation Ford Focus Mk III. The Iosis Max concept, which was displayed at the Geneva Motor Show in 2009, served as the basis for the exterior design. In addition, Ford introduced the Ford Grand C-Max, a minivan version of the C-Max that features a longer wheelbase and seven seats.
At the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the automobile was presented to the public for the first time. The first European models were available with five seats, but seven-seaters didn’t appear on the market until the end of 2010. Ford made the announcement that it will be releasing a C-MAX with seven seats for the North American market during the North American International Auto Show in 2011. Despite this, the model was scrapped before it even went on sale.
At the 2011 North American International Auto Show, Ford presented the public with two new hybrid vehicles: the C-Max Hybrid and the C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid. There is only room for five passengers in the C-Max Energi and Hybrid, just like the standard C-Max. They are designed to take the place of the Ford Escape Hybrid and the Mercury Mariner Hybrid, both of which were discontinued by Ford after the 2011 model year. Ford also stopped producing the Escape Hybrid after the 2012 model year. The C-Max is Ford’s first line of vehicles that is comprised entirely of hybrids. The designs of the European gasoline and diesel-powered versions serve as the inspiration for both the plug-in and hybrid versions of the vehicle.
Following the launch of the C-Max Hybrid in September 2012 for the 2013 model year in the United States, which was followed by the launch of the plug-in Energi version by the middle of October 2012,
