TPMS Reset: Suzuki Kizashi 2010-2013 Tire Pressure Sensor
Suzuki Kizashi 2010-2013 Tire Pressure Monitoring System TPMS Reset
Quick to follow procedure on how to reset/relearn the TPMS service maintenance indicator warning light on Suzuki Kizashi for the year 2010 and 2013.
A TPMS Tool, or another properly formatted TPMS scan tool, is required to perform this procedure.
Procedure using a TPMS Tool
Sensor Relearn Procedure:
1. Inflate all tires to pressure listed on vehicle placard.
2. With the doors closed, apply the parking brake.
3. Turn ignition to the ON position with the engine OFF.
4. Exit the vehicle, and press and hold the driver’s side door switch (located on the door jamb) for 4 seconds, then release it.
5. Press the switch again for 4 seconds, then release it.
6. Press the switch again, for 7 seconds, then release it.
7. Close the doors.
8. Select the vehicle make, model and model year in your TPMS Tool.
9. Starting with the LF tire, use your TPMS Tool to scan each sensor in the following order: LF, RF, RR, LR. All sensors must be scanned within 90 seconds.
Procedure using another Properly Formatted TPMS Scan Tool
Sensor Relearn Procedure:
1. Inflate all tires to pressure listed on vehicle placard.
2. With the doors closed, apply the parking brake.
3. Turn ignition to the ON position with the engine OFF.
4. Exit the vehicle, and press and hold the driver’s side door switch (located on the door jamb) for 4 seconds, then release it.
5. Press the switch again for 4 seconds, then release it.
6. Press the switch again, for 7 seconds, then release it.
7. Close the doors.
8. Starting with the LF tire, use your TPMS scan tool to scan each sensor in the following order: LF, RF, RR, LR. All sensors must be scanned within 90 seconds
About Suzuki Kizashi
In December 2013, Suzuki announced that the Kizashi will be gradually discontinued on global markets, and will not get a successor. In December 2014, the production of the car ceased in the Sagara plant. Despite a good technical record, the car had suffered from poor market record in the context of the global financial crisis and Suzuki’s withdrawal from the American and Canadian markets in 2013 and 2014.
