Mazda CX-3 2019 Tire Pressure Monitoring System TPMS Reset

Quick to follow procedure on how to reset/relearn the TPMS service maintenance indicator warning light on Mazda CX 3 for the year 2019.

No special tools are required to perform this procedure, however a properly formatted TPMS scan tool may expedite the relearn process.

 

Sensor Relearn Procedure without a Scan Tool:

1. Inflate all tires to the pressure listed on the placard.

2. Turn the ignition to the ON position, then the OFF position.

3. With the ignition OFF, wait 15 minutes.

4. Drive the vehicle for at least 10 minutes at a speed of 30 MPH or more for the system to learn the new sensor IDs.

 

Sensor Relearn procedure with a Scan Tool:

1. Inflate all tires to the pressure listed on the placard.

2. Starting with the LF tire, use a properly formatted scan tool to scan each sensor in the following order: LF, RF, RR, LR (and full size spare if equipped).

3. Turn ignition to the ON position.

4. Connect the scan tool to the vehicle’s OBDII Port and upload the sensor IDs.

5. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.

6. Drive the vehicle above 30 MPH, for at least 5 minutes, and monitor the low tire pressure monitor to ensure it does not blink.

 

About Mazda CX-3

The CX-3 received a minor facelift in 2018 including a new split horizontal chrome grill design, foglamps, tail lamps, minor tweaks to the chassis, added safety features, centre console armrest and replaced the manual handbrake with electric parking brakes.

Starting from 23 April 2020, Mazda added a 1.5-litre four-cylinder SkyActiv-G petrol engine option, for the market in Japan. The engine option was also introduced in Indonesia on 29 March 2021, and in Egypt on 24 April 2021. (Source Wiki)
