About Volvo V60
Volvo introduced the Ocean Race Edition version of the V60 in February 2014. The new models, like previous Ocean Race Editions, include unique details such as special alloy wheels and a cargo cover with the route of the 2014 to 2015 Volvo Ocean Race printed on it. The color palette was limited to four options, one of which was the signature Ocean Race Blue. The interior is decorated with Ocean Race-themed detailing and contrast stitching.
Deliveries began in Sweden at the end of 2012, and in the UK in June 2013. The Netherlands led the way in sales in December 2014, with 9,707 units registered, followed by Sweden, which delivered 1,388 units. The Volvo V60 PHEV was the second best selling plug-in hybrid in Europe in 2013 and 2014, trailing only the Mitsubishi Outlander P-HEV, and dropped to fifth place in 2015.
The second generation Volvo V60, like the saloons Volvo S60 and Volvo S90, and the SUVs Volvo XC60 and Volvo XC90, is built on the Volvo SPA Platform. It was released in July of 2018. The Volvo V60 is manufactured in both Sweden and Belgium. Since 2021, the V60 has only been available in the United States as a Cross Country model with one gasoline powertrain, dubbed T5, though a Polestar Engineered enhancement is available as an option.
