About Mercedes-Benz W212 E-Class
The W212 and S212 Mercedes-Benz E-Class series is the fourth generation of Mercedes-E-Class Benz’s executive car range, produced between 2009 and 2016 as the successor to the W211 E-Class. The range’s body styles are as follows:
Sedan/saloon with four doors (W212)
5-door sedan/wagon (S212)
Coupé and convertible models of the same-year E-Class are derived from the W204 C-Class and are known as the C207 and A207, replacing the CLK-Class coupé and cabriolet. Since 2009, a high-performance E 63 AMG version of the W212 and S212 has been available. The E-Class lineup received a facelift in 2013, with significant styling changes, fuel economy improvements, and updated safety features.
It was introduced in March 2009 for Europe and in July 2009 for North America in the saloon body style after being unveiled to invited members of the press at the 2009 North American International Auto Show and put on public display at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. The estate body style became available in all markets in 2010, though it had been available in Europe since August 2009. In July 2011, global cumulative E-Class sales reached the 550,000 vehicle mark. Production reached the 500,000 saloon unit mark in March 2012. In 2016, the W212 E-Class was replaced by the W213 E-Class for the 2017 model year. (Source: Wiki)
