Oil Reset Procedure for Mercedes-Benz S350 for the year 2002 through 2005
1. Turn on the ignition, standard display of the control system appears.
2. Press button (UP arrow) or (DOWN arrow) on the multifunction steering wheel until the FSS indicator with (Single Wrench) or (Double Wrench) and the service deadline appears in the multifunction display.
3. Press the reset knob (R button) to the right in the instrument cluster for about 2 seconds.
4. This message appears in the multifunction display, SERVICE INTERVAL? RESET WITH R BUTTON.
5. To confirm hold down the reset button until you hear a signal.
6. The service indicator now displays the reset interval.

1. Turn ignition to “POSITION 1”.
2. Press and hold “PHONE” button and within 1 second press “OK” and hold both buttons for 5 seconds, shop menu will be displayed.
3. Press down arrow repeatedly until “ASSYST PLUS” is highlighted, press “OK” to confirm.
4. Press down arrow until “SERVICE PERFORMED” is highlighted, press “OK” to confirm.
5. Press down arrow repeatedly until “DUE SERVICES” is highlighted, press “OK” to confirm.
6. Press down arrow repeatedly until “COMPLETE SERVICE” is highlighted, press “OK” to confirm.
7. Turn ignition off.

1. ALL DOORS, WINDOWS, HOOD, AND TRUNK MUST BE CLOSED DURING RESET.
2. Turn ignition to “POSITION 1”.
3. Press the down button repeatedly to bring up the kilometer/mileage display.
4. Press the left arrow button repeatedly until “TRIP” is displayed.
5. Press and hold the phone button and then within 1 second, press and hold the “OK” button.
6. Hold both for 5 seconds until “VEHICLE DATA, DYNAMOMETER TEST, CHANGE BRAKE LINING AND ASSYST PLUS” is displayed.
7. Select “ASSYST PLUS” and push “OK” button.
8. Select “FULL SERVICE” and push “OK” button. Select “CONFIRM SERV” and push “OK” button.
9. Select “OIL QUAL. 229.3” or “OIL QUAL. 229.5” and push “OK” button.
10. Select “YES” and push “OK” button.
11. Select “CONFIRMATION” and push “OK” button, “FULL SERVICE CARRIED OUT” will be displayed.
12. Press “OK” button and then press the “BACK” button repeatedly to exit the menu.
13. Turn ignition off.

About Mercedes-Benz S350
The 7G-TRONIC transmission is standard on all models except the S600 and S65 AMG. 7G-TRONIC Sport transmission is standard on the S350, S350 4MATIC, S400 Hybrid, S450, S450 4MATIC, and S500. 7G-TRONIC transmission models include DIRECT SELECT, which allows 7G-TRONIC to be controlled electronically by touching the lever on the right side of the steering column.
Beginning in 2009, the S63 AMG was equipped with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC transmission, while the S65 AMG was equipped with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 5-speed automatic transmission.
Except for the S 63 AMG, S 600 L, and S 65 L AMG, all models use AIRMATIC suspension with optional Active Body Control, except for 4MATIC models. Active Body Control is standard on the S 63 AMG, S 600 L, and S 65 L AMG.
The 4MATIC models were introduced at the 2006 Paris Motor Show. S 450 4MATIC and S 500 4MATIC were the first products, followed by S 320 CDI 4MATIC in 2006-12 and S 350 4MATIC in mid 2007.
