About Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG
Spending a significant amount of money is required in order to experience the immense power and uniqueness offered by the ML63 AMG. Its price is roughly equal to that of two ML350s put together. The 5.5-liter twin-turbo V-8 can generate up to 550 horsepower when equipped with the performance package’s optional components. It is fast, but the driver and passengers are not able to experience the sensation of speed, and the handling limits are reached very quickly. The price reflects the luxurious finishes, such as leather and wood, that are included in the product. The only audible indication of the ML63’s performance is its deliciously aggressive exhaust note. (Source: Car and Driver)
ML63 AMG, it’s cars like this that will one day be looked upon with awe by enthusiasts. It’s a blast for Mercedes-Benz to put a twin-turbo 5.5-litre V8 in a family SUV.
There are other automobiles built with the same concept, the most notable of which are the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and the soon-to-be-released BMW X5 M; however, there is something special about the Mercedes’ old-school (yet very modern) V8 sound that shoots from the quad-exhausts that ought to make Christine Milne smile.
With 386 kilowatts of power and 700 newton-meters of torque, the 2345-kilogram (kerb weight) ML63 AMG from Mercedes-AMG will move your family around with some serious grunt. The fact that it does so in style, with an AMG bodykit that doesn’t leave much room for interpretation, is also a big help. Driving the AMG SUV can be done in a few different ways. You can either choose to keep it in ECO mode and drive it like a regular Joe or you can make use of the additional $80,000 that you paid for the AMG treatment (over the ML350) and put it in Sport mode.
