About Mercedes-Benz ML320

The M-Class was initially introduced to the market in North America as the ML 320. Production of the M-Class took place in Vance, Alabama, in the United States. The 3.2-liter V6 engine is referenced by the “320” suffix, which indicates that the ML 320 was offered for sale in international markets. From the time of its launch in March 1998 until the year 2000, consumers in Europe had the option of purchasing a 2.3-liter-powered ML 230 that came only with a manual transmission. In 1998, when it was first introduced, the ML 270 CDI was also made available in Europe. It featured a 2.7-liter inline-five engine. This unit was made available in Australia in the year 2000, and it remained in the W163 until it was eventually replaced in the W164 M-Class, which was released in the year 2005.

Later, in 1998, Mercedes-Benz made available the more powerful ML 430, which was equipped with the brand-new Mercedes-Benz 4.3-liter V8 engine. After this, in February of 1999, Mercedes-Benz introduced the 2000 ML 55 AMG, which featured a 5.4-liter engine manufactured by, redesigned bodywork, and other performance-oriented components.
