2. Turn ignition to “POSITION 1”. Press the down button repeatedly to bring up the kilometer/mileage display.

3. Press the left arrow button repeatedly until “TRIP” is displayed.

4. Press and hold the phone button and then within 1 second, press and hold the “OK” button.

5. Hold both for 5 seconds until “VEHICLE DATA, DYNAMOMETER TEST, CHANGE BRAKE LINING AND ASSYST PLUS” is displayed.

6. Select “ASSYST PLUS” and push “OK” button.

7. Select “FULL SERVICE” and push “OK” button.

8. Select “CONFIRM SERV” and push “OK” button.

9. Select “OIL QUAL. 229.3” or “OIL QUAL. 229.5” and push “OK” button.

10. Select “YES” and push “OK” button.

11. Select “CONFIRMATION” and push “OK” button, “FULL SERVICE CARRIED OUT” will be displayed.

12. Press “OK” button and then press the “BACK” button repeatedly to exit the menu.

13. Turn ignition off.

Mercedes-Benz has produced and marketed two generations of the subcompact luxury crossover SUV known as the GLA under the brand name Mercedes-Benz. It is essentially the SUV version of the A-Class and the smallest SUV that the brand offers for sale in its lineup. In point of fact, the GLA is diminutive, measuring 175.0 inches in length, which is seven inches shorter than the already compact CLA250. Additionally, the seating position is only slightly elevated. The five-door body provides increased versatility, approximately the same amount of cargo space as the sedan, and improved rear headroom compared to the sedan. However, this is still a compact car with only a little room in the back seats. Imagine a Nissan Juke NISMO RS that has been amped up to its full potential.

The GLA45 has the same transverse M133 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as the high-test CLA. This engine is fed with up to 26.1 psi of boost from a twin-scroll turbocharger. The GLA45 shares its guts with the CLA45. The output remains the same insane 355 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, along with an exhaust note that is harsh and raucous, unlike any of AMG’s V-shaped engines that produce a melodious sound. The 208-horsepower unit found in the standard GLA250 has been upgraded in a number of ways, including receiving a new crankshaft, pistons, and a more robust aluminum block.

On account of its more rigid springs, dampers, bushings, and anti-roll bars, the GLA45 is 1.8 inches lower to the ground than the standard GLA250 4MATIC. Our particular model came equipped with Continental ContiProContact 5P performance tires wrapped around 20-inch wheels that cost $850 each (19s are standard). The body control and outright grip on the skidpad (0.96 g) are both impressive, and the upgraded brakes from the CLA45 bring things to a stop from 70 miles per hour in just 151 feet. The front brake rotors measure 13.8 inches, and the rear brake rotors measure 13.0 inches. However, the suspension is extremely firm and has a limited range of motion, which leads to unpleasant collisions on poorly maintained roads. The electric power steering is responsive and quick, requiring only 2.5 turns to go from lock to lock; however, it lacks tactility and an on-center feel, which makes busy-feeling highway cruising more difficult.
