Oil Reset Procedure for Mercedes-Benz E400 for the year 2013 through 2014
1. ALL DOORS, WINDOWS, HOOD, AND TRUNK MUST BE CLOSED DURING RESET.
2. Turn ignition to “POSITION 1”. Press the down button repeatedly to bring up the kilometer/mileage display.
3. Press the left arrow button repeatedly until “TRIP” is displayed.
4. Press and hold the phone button and then within 1 second, press and hold the “OK” button.
5. Hold both for 5 seconds until “VEHICLE DATA, DYNAMOMETER TEST, CHANGE BRAKE LINING AND ASSYST PLUS” is displayed.
6. Select “ASSYST PLUS” and push “OK” button.
7. Select “FULLSERVICE” and push “OK” button.
8. Select “CONFIRM SERV” and push “OK” button.
9. Select “OIL QUAL. 229.3” or “OIL QUAL. 229.5” and push “OK” button.
10. Select “YES” and push “OK” button.
11. Select “CONFIRMATION” and push “OK” button, “FULL SERVICE CARRIED OUT” will be displayed.
12. Press “OK” button and then press the “BACK” button repeatedly to exit the menu.
13. Turn ignition off.

12. Press “OK” button and then press the “BACK” button repeatedly to exit the menu.
13. Turn ignition off.
About Mercedes-Benz E400
The facelifted W124 was the first model to bear the “E-Class” moniker, which debuted in 1993 for the 1994 model year (the W124 was introduced in 1984 but continued with the older naming convention until 1993, when all Mercedes-Benz models switched to a new system, e.g. E 320 instead of 300 E). The diesel models remained the most fuel-efficient choice when compared to the four- and six-cylinder gasoline engines, while the gasoline V8 engines that became available after 1992 further increased gasoline’s power outputs. In the United States, there was no availability of four-cylinder gasoline models on the market. From 1992 to 1993, the four-door sedans and two-door coupes powered by a V8 were known as the 400 E and the 500 E, while after 1993 they were renamed the E 420 and the E 500. Similarly, the 3.0-liter cars, such as the 300 E, were re-badged as the E 320 when the 3.2-liter M104 engines were introduced in 1994, as part of the naming rationalization process.

It would be easy to dismiss the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E400 Coupe as “just an E-Class with two fewer doors,” but that would be doing it an injustice. The mid-size luxury coupe represents a return for Mercedes to the production of the type of vehicle that the company stopped producing in 1996. In an effort to give the appearance of sporting prowess, the coupe version of the E-Class from the generation before last as well as the two generations of CLK that came before it were all built on modified, smaller versions of the C-Class platform. However, this one is a legitimate E-Class model.
