Oil Reset Procedure for Mercedes-Benz C230 1997-2007
Simple to follow oil reset procedure for Mercedes-Benz C230 for the year 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Oil Reset Procedure for Mercedes-Benz C230 for the year 1997 through 1998
1. Turn ignition to “POSITION 1”. Within 4 seconds, press the “0” button twice.
2. Present status will be displayed, within 10 seconds, turn key to “POSITION 0”.
3. Press and hold the “0” button while turning key to “Position 1”.
4. Continue holding the “0” button for 10 seconds until a sound is heard and display shows “10,000 (15,000KM)” for 10 seconds. Release “0” button.
5. Turn ignition off.
Oil Reset Procedure for Mercedes-Benz C230 for the year 1999 through 2000
1. Turn ignition to “POSITION 1”. Within 4 seconds, press the “0” button twice.
2. Present status will be displayed, within 10 seconds, turn key to “POSITION 0”.
3. Press and hold the “0” button while turning key to “Position 1”.
4. Continue holding the “0” button for 10 seconds until a sound is heard and display shows “10,000 (15,000KM)” for 10 seconds. Release “0” button.
5. Turn ignition off.

1. Turn ignition to “POSITION 1”.
2. Press the bottom left button on the steering wheel repeatedly until the service symbol is displayed.
3. Press the top left button on the steering wheel repeatedly until the service symbol is displayed. “DO YOU WANT TO
RESET THE SERVICE INTERVAL?” will be displayed.
4. Hold down the “RESET (R)” button until you hear a sound.
5. Turn ignition off.

1. Turn ignition to “POSITION 1”.
2. Press the “SYSTEM” button until FSS indicator and service symbol and deadline are displayed. “DO YOU WANT TO RESET
THE SERVICE INTERVAL?” will be displayed.
3. Press “RESET [R]” button until you hear a sound.
4. Turn ignition off.

1. Turn ignition to “POSITION 1”.
2. Press the “up or down” button until FSS indicator is displayed.
3. Press and hold “RESET” button until “”SERVICE INTERVAL? RESET WITH R BUTTON FOR 3 SEC.” is displayed.
4. Press “RESET” button until you hear a sound.
5. Reset interval will now be displayed. Turn ignition off.

1. Turn ignition to “POSITION 1”.
2. Press the system selection button repeatedly until the kilometer reading is displayed.
3. Press the cluster illumination button 3 times quickly.
4. The battery voltage will be displayed and a sound will be heard.
5. Turn ignition to “POSITION 2”.
6. Press the up or down arrows until the service menu appears.
7. Press the cluster illumination button once. The oil menu will be displayed. Use the +/- buttons to select the oil used. Use the up or down arrows to confirm. “RESET OIL CONFIRMATION. PUSH R-BUTTON FOR 3 SECONDS” will be displayed.
8. Press and hold the cluster illumination button for 3 seconds. “SERVICE CONFIRMED” will be displayed.
9. Turn ignition off.

1. Turn ignition to “POSITION 1”.

11. Turn ignition off.
