About Mercedes-Benz B-Class 245

Since 2005, Mercedes-Benz has been producing and marketing the B-Class subcompact executive car. The European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) classifies it as a small MPV based on its larger dimensions than the A-Class. Since its introduction in 2005, the B-Class has delivered one million vehicles as of December 20, 2013.
In Europe, Australia, and other parts of the world, the first generation B-Class was introduced in spring 2005, and in Canada in autumn 2005. Front-wheel drive with sandwich floor construction, parabolic rear suspension, and a two-box design — one for the drivetrain and another for the shared passenger and luggage compartment — are all standard features on the B-Class. The height of the B-Class maximizes interior volume. It was derived from the smaller A-Class and retained the sandwich floor concept.

All models came standard with passive vehicle safety systems such as ESP, ABS, traction control, cornering lights, an active lighting system, and headlamp assist. The engine and transmission slide beneath the passenger compartment in the event of a frontal collision. It was updated in 2008 with a start-stop system and the BlueEFFICIENCY option. A new NGT variant was introduced that could run on either gasoline or natural gas. (Source: Wiki)
