1. Switch on ignition. The following steps must be completed within 10 s of the appearance of the maintenance indicator (1) in the multifunction display (A1p13) in the instrument cluster (A1), otherwise the procedure must be repeated.

2. Push service button (2) until the maintenance indicator (1) appears in the multifunction display (A1p13) in the instrument cluster (A1)

3. Push service button (2) at instrument cluster (A1) and switch ignition off. Press and hold down service button (2). During this time, the maintenance indicator (1) is not replaced by other indicators in the multifunction display (A1p13).

4. Switch on ignition and hold down service button (2) on the instrument cluster (A1). After this is performed, the maintenance indicator (1) shows the remaining distance (starting distance) for the next maintenance interval.

5. Switch off ignition.

The Mercedes-Benz R107 and C107 are sports cars manufactured by Mercedes-Benz from 1971 to 1989, making them the automaker’s second longest single series after the G-Class. They were sold as the 280 SL, 280 SLC, 300 SL, 350 SL, 350 SLC, 380 SL, 380 SLC, 420 SL, 450 SL, 450 SLC, 450 SLC 5.0, 500 SL, 500 SLC, and 560 SL under the SL (R107) and SLC (C107) model names.

The R107/SL was a two-seater with a roof that could be removed. In 1971, it replaced the W113 SL-Class, and in 1989, it was replaced by the R129 SL-Class.The predecessor W113 was a notable success in North America, selling 19,440 units (40%) of the total 48,912 units sold. With specialized engines, bumper designs, headlights, and emissions management designs, the R107 and C107 were even more focused on the American market. The R107 and C107 sold 204,373 units (68%) of the total 300,175 units sold in the United States (excluding grey market sales into the US).The SL was Mercedes-only Benz’s roadster during its production run.

The C107/SLC was a four-seater with a fixed roof and a sliding steel sunroof as an option. In 1971, it replaced the W111 Coupé, and in 1981, it was replaced by the C126 S-class coupe. (Source: Wiki)
