TPMS Reset: Chevrolet Corvette 2005 – 2013 Tire Pressure Sensor

Chevrolet Corvette 2005 – 2013 Tire Pressure Monitoring System TPMS Reset
Simple to follow procedure on how to reset/relearn the TPMS service maintenance indicator warning light on Chevrolet Corvette for the year 2005, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013.
A TPMS tool, or another properly formatted TPMS scan tool, is required to perform this procedure.
Procedure using a TPMS tool
Relearn Procedure for Models Equipped with Keyless Entry:
1. Set the parking brake.
2. Inflate all tires to the pressure listed on the placard.
3. Turn ignition to the ON/RUN position with the engine OFF (not the ACC position).
4. Using the keyless entry (key fob), press and hold the lock and the unlock buttons simultaneously until the horn sounds. The horn sounds twice to signal the receiver is in relearn mode and TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message displays on the DIC.
5. Select the vehicle make, model and model year in your TPMS tool.
6. Starting with the LF tire, use your TPMS tool to scan each sensor in the following order: LF, RF, RR and LR. The horn will chirp, after the vehicle has received a signal from each sensor. After activating the LR tire, the horn will chirp twice signifying the relearn is complete.
7. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
Relearn Procedure for Models Equipped with a Driver’s Information Center (DIC):
1. Inflate all tires to the pressure listed on the placard.
2. Turn ignition to the ON/RUN position with the engine OFF (not the ACC position) and lower the driver’s side window.
3. Press the Vehicle Information button (located to the left or right of the instrument cluster) repeatedly until “LEARN TIRE PRESSURES” is displayed. Then press the checkmark button
4. Select the vehicle make, model and model year in your TPMS tool.
5. Starting with the LF tire, use your TPMS tool to scan each sensor in the following order: LF, RF, RR and LR. The horn will chirp, after the vehicle has received a signal from each sensor. After activating the LR tire, the horn will chirp twice signifying the relearn is complete.
6. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
Relearn Procedure for Models NOT Equipped with a Keyless Entry or DIC:
1. Inflate all tires to the pressure listed on the placard.
2. Turn ignition to the ON/RUN position with the engine OFF (not the ACC position) and lower the driver’s side window.
3. Press the trip odometer button until “LEARN TIRE PRESSURES” is displayed. Then hold down the trip odometer button until the horn chirps.
4. Select the vehicle make, model and model year in your TPMS tool.
5. Starting with the LF tire, use your TPMS tool to scan each sensor in the following order: LF, RF, RR and LR. The horn will chirp, after the vehicle has received a signal from each sensor. After activating the LR tire, the horn will chirp twice signifying the relearn is complete.
6. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
Procedure using another Properly Formatted TPMS Scan Tool TPMS tool

About Chevrolet Corvette
For the C6 Corvette GM wanted to focus more upon refining the C5 than trying to redesign it. Car & Driver, and Motor Trend, described the C6 as an “evolution of the C5, instead of a complete redo”. The C6 wheelbase was increased while body overhangs were decreased when compared to the C5. Retractable headlights were replaced with fixed units, making this the first model since 1962 to be so equipped.
The C6 brought a new and improved interior compared to the C5. As a result of the upgraded interior, the C6 had a slight increase in passenger hip room. It also sported an updated LS1/LS6 engine now called the LS2. This engine was primarily an LS1/LS6 with a bump in displacement from 5.7L to 6.0 liters. The increased displacement of the 6.0 bumped the LS2’s horsepower up by 50 BHP over its LS1 progenitor, although still 5 BHP less than the upgraded LS6 engine found in the previous C5 Z06. Thus the LS2 was now at 364 cu in, and it produced 400 bhp (300 kW) at 6000 rpm and 400 lb⋅ft (540 N⋅m) at 4400 rpm, giving the vehicle a 0–60 mph time of under 4.2 seconds.
