About Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG
The Mercedes-Benz CLA is the brand’s first vehicle to feature front-wheel drive and be sold in the North American market. The Mercedes CLA range is positioned above the A-Class and it is almost on par with the C-Class in terms of the company’s overall model hierarchy. However, the CLA range’s models have a tendency to be less practical than the A-Class it is based on.
At the 2019 New York International Auto Show, the AMG CLA35 model was presented to the public for the first time. It employs a 7-speed dual clutch AMG SpeedShift DCT transmission and an all-wheel drive layout for its mechanical architecture. At the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the range-topping AMG CLA45 and CLA45 S variants were presented to the public for the first time. Both of them have an 8-speed dual clutch AMG SpeedShift DCT transmission and an all-wheel drive system that can split torque between the rear wheels using separate clutches. Additionally, both of them have an all-wheel drive system. The Shooting Brake body style is an additional option for the AMG lineup of automobiles. At the 2020 event held in Thailand, the range-topping AMG CLA35 4MATIC and CLA45 S 4MATIC+ variants were presented to the public for the first time. They are imported into the country from Hungary, and both the AMG and coupe configurations of the AMG variants are offered.
The plug-in hybrid version of the CLA 250 e was presented to the public in March of 2020; it is offered in both the Coupe and the Shooting Brake body styles.
At the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz displayed a race car that was based on the CLA45 AMG. We had the opportunity to show you the sedan for the first time during the flurry of news and reveals that occurs prior to the majority of reputable auto shows, and we were blown away by the vehicle, which was formerly known as the CLA45 AMG Racing Series.
As we were walking past the Mercedes booth, we thought it would be a good idea to stop in and have a look at the new racer, which featured carbon-fiber body panels, a stripped-down interior, and race-sourced aero parts. As a vehicle for the road and as a weapon for the racetrack, it is a stunner. Although it is not entirely clear which racing series the CLA45 AMG will be eligible for, it appears that it will be competing in the World Touring Car Championship.
