Infiniti FX45 oil reset procedure for the year 2004 through 2005
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “MAINT” button until “ENGINE OIL” is displayed.
3. To reset driving distance, push the “MAINT” or “TRIP RESET” button for more than 1.5 seconds.
4. Turn ignition off.

With Nav System:
1. Turn ignition on without starting engine (press “START/STOP” button once).
2. Press the “TRIP” button repeatedly until “MAINTENANCE” is displayed and press “ENTER” to select.
3. Use the joystick to scroll to “ENGINE OIL” and press “ENTER” button.
4. Select “RESET” and press “ENTER” button.
5. Turn ignition off.
Without Nav System:
1. Turn ignition on without starting engine (press “START/STOP” button once).
2. Press the “MAINT” button until “ENGINE OIL” is displayed.
3. Use the controller keys to select “ENGINE OIL” and press “ENTER”.
4. Select “RESET” and press “ENTER” button.
5. Turn ignition off.

1. Turn the ignition on without starting the engine (press START/STOP) button.
2. Locate TRIP computer switches on the right side of the instrument panel (Square and Circle buttons).
3. Press Square (button) repeatedly to bring up the “Setting” screen on the instrument panel display.
4. Follow the prompts to select the “Maintenance” menu. Once this menu is accessed follow the prompts to set or reset the “Engine Oil”.
5. Repeat and follow prompts to reset “Oil Filter”.
6. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
