Isuzu i-290 2007-2008 Tire Pressure Monitoring System TPMS Reset

Simple to follow procedure on how to reset/relearn the TPMS service maintenance indicator warning light on Isuzu i-290 for the year 2007 and 2008.

A TPMS Tool , or another properly formatted TPMS scan tool, is required to perform this procedure.

Procedure using a TPMS Tool

Sensor Relearn Procedure:

1. Inflate all tires to pressure listed on tire placard.
2. Apply the parking brake.
3. Turn ignition to the ON position with the engine OFF (not the ACC position).
4. Turn the headlight switch from OFF to PARKING LAMPS 4 times within 3 seconds. A double horn chirp will sound and the TPMS telltale will begin blinking to indicate the learn mode is enabled.
5. If the headlight switch does not enable TPMS learn mode, then press the vehicle info button, on the DIC (if equipped) until “TPMS RELEARN” is displayed. Then press the checkmark button.
6. Select the vehicle make, model and model year in your TPMS Tool .
7. Starting with the LF tire, use your TPMS Tool to scan each sensor in the following order: LF, RF, RR LR (and full size spare if equipped).
8. Turn the ignition to the OFF position

Procedure using another Properly Formatted TPMS Scan Tool

Sensor Relearn Procedure:

About Isuzu i-290

There are only engine changes for the 2007 model. The Atlas LK5 inline-4 of the i280 has been enlarged to 2.9 liters giving it an increase of 10 hp to 285 and 5 lb-ft of torque to 190. The Atlas L52 inline-5 engine is enlarged to 3.7 liters with a boost of 22 hp and 17 lb-ft of torque. The i-350 is now the i-370, and the i-280 is now the i-290. (Source WikiCars)
